John Paul Dutkowski

March 29, 1952 — June 19, 2021

John Paul Dutkowski, 69, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. He was a proud United States Air Force veteran and retired from a career in truck driving. John lived life to its fullest and loved giving encouragement, as well as making others laugh. He enjoyed woodworking and muzzle loading. Despite his illnesses, John always maintained a positive attitude and never complained.

He was born on March 29, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Eugene and Martha (Harris) Dutkowski. John is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Mary (Shaw) Dutkowski; son, Steven Mitchell; grandchildren, Abby, Evan, Olivia Mitchell; siblings, Eugene "Joe" Dutkowski, Jr. (Jackie), James Dutkowski (Malinda), Helen Weber; as well as several nieces, nephews and good friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.

Contributions in John's memory may be made to the National Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association (PO Box 67, Friendship, IN 47021).
