John Wayne Carpenter, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019. John was retired from Kentuckiana Comfort Center after 40 years of service.
He was born on November 13, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Doris Carpenter. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Leighann Carpenter, Grandchild, Anthony Wayne Carpenter, Jr., and Nephew, Jason Allen Garris.
John is survived by his Partner, Bonnie Michell Jones, Son, Anthony Wayne (Delena) Carpenter, Daughter, Lori (Mario) Lopez, Sisters: Anita Gayle House, and Wendy Sue (Lyle) Metcalf, Brothers, Stephen Douglas (Doniva) Carpenter, and Thomas Adrial Carpenter, Grandchildren: Andrew Carpenter, Joseph Alexander Carpenter, Neila Lopez, Mario Lopez, Jr., Noah Lopez, and Marionna Lopez.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to American Cancer Society.
