John Wilburn Bennett, 79, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on December 22, 2016.
John was born on June 28, 1937, Louisville, Kentucky to the late Erastus and Hettie (Nix) Bennett. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jackie W. Bennett; a daughter, Cheri R. Tucker; a son, Jerry W. Bennett; and a brother, Roley Bennett.
John is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Lorene (Jones) Bennett; a son, James W. Bennett; a daughter, Heather Hodge; two brothers, Harold Bennett and Carold Bennett.
A service to celebrate his life will be conducted December 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
