John Beckort, 62, lifelong resident of Bushman's Lake in Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
He was born on January 9, 1960, in Corydon, Indiana, to the late William and Diana (Kinder) Beckort. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Longest.
John is survived by his wife, Tina (Hall) Beckort; children, Kristian Beckort (Majella Miller) and Amy Beckort-Lind (Chip); siblings, Dan Roe (Melissa), Jeff Beckort (Annie), and Terri Coyle (Tommy); and grandchildren, Madison Beckort, Langdon Beckort, Jaelinn Beckort, Gracelyn Lind, and Braxton Lind.
John's wish was to be cremated, and a gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
Contributions in John's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of his grandmother, Violet Kinder.
