Joey Steinhauer, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
He was born on August 22, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Fred and Lurlea Steinhauer. Joey was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he knew the Ohio River like the back of his hand and enjoyed taking people out on the river. His boat was a SeaArk and it was sponsored in the Monsters of the Ohio fishing tournament. Joey took great joy teaching his grandchildren how to fish and enjoy nature. He was notorious for being "well budgeted". Joey was also a YouTube guru, if he couldn't fix it he could watch a video and do it.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Steve Steinhauer, nephews, Danny Glaab and Jon Fisher.
Joey is survived by his daughter, Anna (Jason) Wall, son, Timothy Steinhauer, girlfriend, Lynn Howlett, his loving fur companion, Karma, sisters, Sandy (Calvin) Biggs, Shari (Danny) Cupp, and Becki (T) Fisher, brother, Stacey (Joan) Steinhauer, grandchildren, Maraya Wall, Jaxon Steinhauer, and Kasen Steinhauer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 4 to 6 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, Southwest Chapel.
A memorial service will follow at 6 pm at the funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions in Joey's memory be made in to the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources or the charity of your choice.
