Joetta Dawson Casey

Joetta Dawson Casey, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on November 26, 2016. Joetta was a caregiver to everyone and was a nurse for many years. She loved to oil paint, make crafts, and was handy with a hammer and drill. Joetta enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

Joetta was born on June 24, 1947, in Oak Hill, West Virginia to the late Eugene and Julia (Johnson) Dawson.

Joetta is survived by her daughters, Toni Dawn Greco and Julia Ann Mackey; 3 grandsons, Corey (Steffany) Greco, Jacob Greco, and James Mackey; 4 great-grandchildren, Ayden, Alex, Austin, and Adysen; 2 special sons, Brent and Bryan Casey; 2 sisters, Phyllis Hegwood and Judy Adams; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Memorial Gardens Dr, Louisville, KY 40216).
