Joel Daniel Sauer, Sr.

Joel Daniel Sauer, Sr., 39, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Joel was a very smart, confident, and handsome man. He loved to make everyone laugh and could put a smile on anyone's face. Joel loved playing chess, being in the outdoors, and being creative. Joel was an avid UK fan and loved to watch UK basketball. Most importantly, Joel loved spending time with his family; especially his four children. He will be missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on March 31, 1982 in Louisville, Kentucky to Michael and Loretta (Bowman) Sauer. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Sauer.

Joel is survived by his loving children, daughters, Jordan (Sam) Sauer and Jenna Sauer; sons, Joel Sauer, Jr. and Jacob Sauer; Siblings, Erica Sauer, Michael Sauer, Jr., Brian Sauer, Sarah Sauer, and Justin Sauer; as well as host of extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that contributions in Joel's memory be made to his daughters, Jordan and Jenna to help with burial expenses.
