Joe Reeder Egan, 83, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015. He was a United States Army veteran and a retired truck driver. Joe enjoyed fishing and listening to the Marlinaires.

He was born on September 11, 1931 in Jeffersonville to the late Joe L. and Mary (Conn) Egan. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Bottorff, Carol Khuri, Hank Egan, and Ann Ross. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jorene (Lyttle) Egan; children, Kathy Gelback (Tim), Patrick Egan, Cynthia Ware; grandchildren, Brittany, Jason, Erica, Brendan, Matthew, and Matt; great-grandchildren, Noah, Addison, J.T., Julian, and Kayla; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 11 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church (222 Walnut Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
