Our beloved father and best friend, Joe Everett McRae Jr., 81, completed his peaceful journey to Heaven on Tuesday morning, May 2nd, at Norton Hosparus of Louisville. He was surrounded by family and friends with the deepest love, compassion and prayer during his transition. Joe served in the Army National Guard. He was a retired Master Plumber, Journeyman & Pipefitter with Union Local 502. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joann.
Joe is survived by his children, Jacquelyn E. McRae (David Pullem), Kari L. Lalonde and Joe E. McRae, III (Vicky); 2 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren; mother of his children, Patricia A. McRae; sisters, Shirley, Sylvia; nieces and nephews, his long-time companion, best friend and sweet caregiver Cheryl Cornellio; his dearest friends, Annalee Nix with whom he shared many meals; and Jerry Kinslow of whom made his every day much brighter.
Joe brought a smile, laugh, kind touch and a slice of homemade apple pie to those that loved him most and to those he loved deeply. He will be missed beyond words and remain in our hearts forever.
Joe requested cremation and services will be private.
