Joseph M. Deckard, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 26, 1942 to the late Elmer and Donna Deckard. Joe was retired from the Louisville Water and Gas Company and was a member of 18th Street Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Missy A. Hammerstrom; three siblings, Elmer Earls Deckard Jr., James Deckard and Linda Deckard
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Darlene Deckard; a daughter, Shannon Ramirez; grandchildren, Sarah D. (James) Martin, Spencer D. Thibodeaux and Skylar D. Ramirez; and a host of other family members and friends.
A Gathering will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway.
