Joe Leonard Davis, Jr.

Joe L. Davis, 52, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on March 27, 2026.

He was born on January 27, 1974, in Louisville, Kentucky. Joe was a proud graduate of New Albany High School, Class of 1992, and continued his education by earning his bachelor's degree in business.

Throughout his life, he carried a deep passion for helping youth in his community, dedicating his time to mentoring young people and creating opportunities for them to be seen, heard, and supported.

Joe was truly the light in any room, even when there seemed to be no power. His commitment to uplifting young men in the school system led him to begin a mentorship program focused on giving a voice to those who often felt unheard. He was an overall lover of people-selfless, compassionate, and generous beyond measure. If given the chance, Joe would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.

Joe's legacy of love, mentorship, and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at West Haven Cemetery at a later date.
