Joe Ivan Combs, 77, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Joe had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, boating, and camping. Joe was an avid Louisville Cardinals basketball fan. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Colgate-Palmolive after many years of service.

He was born on January 3, 1943, in Dunnville, Kentucky, to the late Joe and Louise (Sneed) Combs. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Verl Combs, Ted Combs, and Dale Combs.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Combs; daughter, Angela Joyce; son, Todd Combs; grandchildren, Kaleab, Hannah, and Katelyn; brothers, Paul "Rusty" Combs, Derl (Debbie) Combs, Kent (Cindy) Combs, Lynn (Helen) Combs, and James Combs; and sister, Ann (Terry) Paragon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
