Joann (Davis) Dowell

Jo Ann (Davis) Dowell, 75, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on August 13, 2017. She worked for South Central Bell for over 30 years until her retirement. Jo Ann loved camping with her family and friends and enjoyed playing Bunco. She was a long-time member of the Red Hat Society.

Jo Ann was born on October 22, 1941, in Clark County, Indiana, to the late Leslie V. and Edna M. (Bedell) Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Butch Dowell; sons, Tom Dowell (Amy) and Todd Dowell (Jamie); sisters, Patty Stickler (David) and Sandy Leverich; grandchildren, Rhiley and Kobe; and step-grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, and Justin.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
