Joan Marie (Koeberlein) Lash

Joan Marie (Koeberlein) Lash, 88, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. In her earlier years, she enjoyed square-dancing with her husband and loved to travel. Joan was a parishioner at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish in Louisville.

Joan was born on January 22, 1929, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Frank J. and Anna C. (Reeder) Koeberlein. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lester G. Lash; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Joan is survived by her children, Joseph Lash and his wife, Carole, and Judith Lash, all of Louisville, Kentucky, Janet Young and her husband, David, of New Albany, John Lash and his wife, Dorothy, of Geneva, Illinois, and Jeanine Gruner and her husband, Stephen, of LaGrange; grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, Katherine, William (Elizabeth), Lauren, Stephen, Eric, Matthew, and John; and great-grandchildren, Zane and Grant.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish (3511 Rudd Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40212) with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
