Joan Miller Jessie

Joan Miller Jessie, 77, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Joan was an amazing piano player and loved music. She played piano in the church when she was younger and later volunteered at Norton to play during the holidays. She was a dedicated nurse at Baptist East and United Health Care. After retirement she would volunteer her time in the nursery for infants that needed extra care. In her later years she enjoyed sitting on her porch with her friends. Joan will truly be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on May 30, 1948 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Oscar and Hazel (Justice) Miller. She is preceded in death by her Father, Oscar Miller, Mother, Hazel Miller, Husband, James Jessie, Brother, Robert Miller.

Joan is survived by her loving family, Daughter, Holly R. Magan, Son, Brandon M. (Lauren) Jessie, Grandchildren, Matthew Richey, Joshua Hamlin, Sarah Hamlin, Liam Jessie, Walynn Jessie, Lola Miller, Scarlet Miller, Jude Miller, Bonus Sister, Patricia Lynch, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

There will be a graveside service at a later date.
