Jo (Ulrich) Thieneman

Jo Ann Ulrich Thieneman, 90, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019. Jo Ann enjoyed baking, sewing and crocheting. She was a life-time member of the VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary and a long-time member of the St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

She was born on April 13, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Ida Muessle Ulrich. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Thieneman, Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Crone; and brother, Robert Ulrich.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Rosetta (Robert "Bear") Vance, Andrew (Martha) Thieneman, Jr. MD, Carla (Michael) Crosby and Daniel (Lou Ann) Thieneman; grandchildren, Cassandra (Matt) Adams and Nathan (Jessica Anderson) Thieneman; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Abigail Adams.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church - Chapel (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Jo Ann's memory be made to the American Heart Association (3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674), the National Kidney Foundation (161 Saint Matthews Ave, Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207) or Greyhound Pets of America - Louisville Chapter (1506 Grandin Woods Ct, Louisville, KY 40299).
