Jimmy Wayne Adams

Jimmy Wayne Adams,age 78 passed away on Sunday, December 27,2020 at Nortons Hosparus Health in Louisville, KY. He was born October 5, 1942 in Ellisburg, KY. son of the late Walker and Mary Jane Adams. Jimmy spent most of his childhood in Casey County area. He graduated from Hustonville High School. Jimmy served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He married the love of his life, Jewell Bottom in 1968 and they started their life together in Louisville, KY. He retired from General Electric, Appliance Park after 30+ years. Jimmy was a devout member of Bethlehem Baptist until he was no longer able to attend. He was a proud Kentucky Colonel. Jimmy was also preceded in death was his sisters, Ruby Ellis, Geraldine Goldsmith and Peggy Schooling; and his brothers, Raymond & Jack Adams.

He was survived by his wife of 52 years, Jewell (Bottoms) Adams; his daughter, Jena Hargrove (Jerrid); grandchildren, Tyler Hargrove (Erin), MaKaya Hargrove, Parker Hargrove and Phoenix Hargrove; one precious great-granddaughter, Beatrice (Bea) Hargrove; many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Due to Covid, the family has decided it was in the best interest for all to not have a funeral. Cremation was chosen with a celebration planned at a later date..

Memorial funds can be made in his name to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Louisville, KY.
