Jimmie "Ms. Tyson" Louise Rates, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
She was born on July 13, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Helen (Ellery) Rates. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rhonda M. Tyson, son, Lemuel T. Tyson.
Ms. Tyson is survived by daughter, Kathy D. Rates, son, Jeffery M. Tyson, daughter, Angela M. Tyson, brother, James A. (Brenda) Rates, Jr., 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
