August 10, 1943 — September 8, 2018

Jimmie D. Copass, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Jimmie was a graduate of Valley High School. Honorably served in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was an avid UK fan and Kentucky High School sports fan.

He was born on August 10, 1943 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Hascal and Evelyn (Wood) Copass. He is preceded in death by his father.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Kaye Copass, mother, Evelyn Copass, daughter, Susan Copass-Cheng, 3 grandchildren, Meredith Cheng, Andrew Copass, Merissa Copass, brother, Freddie (Patty) Copass.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Monday September 17, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliffe, KY.

To honor Jim and his love of sports, the family requests that visitors wear clothing representing their high school or college.
