Jim Burke

Jim Burke, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

He was born on June 24, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Julia (Wald) Burke. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Burke.

Jim worked as a bricklayer and tile setter as an independent contractor, he is known for being an avid bowler since the 1980's scoring multiple 300 games and 700 series.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lisa Marie Burke, daughter, Emily Burke (Patrick), son, Jeremy Burke, grandchildren, Ricky Gilreath and Kylee Streander, siblings, George Burke (Jenny), William Burke, Mary Jarboe, Darlene Burke and Carolyn Dahman (Doug).

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).

The family requests that contributions in Jim’s memory be made to the family in the name of Lisa Burke.
