Jim Allison, 69, of Louisville, passed away on March 26, 2016. He retired from Middletown United Methodist Church, where he was also a member.
Jim was born on December 10, 1946 in Louisville, KY to the late James and Elsie (Kleinstueber) Allison.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Lee (Robinson) Allison; daughter, Kristen Hosey (Ryan), and son, Clay Allison (Marky). Jim was a devoted son, husband, and father. He was a man of eclectic tastes, having equal love for UK basketball and Disney World vacations. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, sage advice, and always putting others before himself.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243).
Funeral ceremonies will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Middletown Historical Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association.
