Jessie "Pat" Scharfenberger, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 8, 1937 to the late Henley B. and Lillian Gilpin. She attended Riverside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Scharfenberger; a son, John Michael Linton; a sister, Sally Satterly ; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Linton.
Pat is survived by her children, Vicki Logsdon, James P. (Julie M.) Linton, Richard A. Linton and Melinda Hill; brothers, John and Jimmy Gilpin, 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren on the way, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie HIghway with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
