Jessie Paul Hodge

Jessie Paul Hodge, 86, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020. He was a United States Army veteran and retiree from Armor Elevator Company in Louisville. Jessie was a member of First Assembly of God Church in New Albany.

He was born on September 7, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Dewey, Sr., and Lela (Williams) Hodge. Jessie was also preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Douglas) Hodge; children, Eddie, Donnie, and Margaret Hodge; and siblings, Ora Wall, Dewey, Jr., and Lester Hodge.

Jessie is survived by his children, Donna Creadon (Bill), Kenny Hodge (Denise), George Hodge, and Georgetta Rowe (Patrick); twelve grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church (2778 Charlestown Road, New Albany). His funeral service with military honors will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at church with cremation to follow according to Jessie's wishes. He will be laid to rest privately at New Albany National Cemetery.
