Jesse Abraham Harding

Jesse Abraham Harding, 91, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020. He worked in the maintenance department at National Homes and Paramount Plywood. Jesse was a proud Mason and a very knowledgeable auto mechanic. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church in Elizabeth, Indiana.

He was born on April 27, 1929, in Perry County, Indiana, to the late Monroe and Catherine (Kellems) Harding. Jesse was also preceded in death by his siblings, Johnie, Gene, Porter, Mary Olive, Roscoe, and Glenward; and son-in-law, Gary Elliott.

Jesse is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Rosa (Harpe) Harding; children, Linda Elliott and Dave Harding (Julie); grandchildren, Jason Elliott (Wendy), Jeremy Elliott (Nette), Matthew Harding (Jayleita), and Amanda Harding; great-grandchildren, J.J. Elliott, Brady Elliott, Hayleigh Harding, Parker Harding, Joshua Elliott, and Breanna Elliott; sister-in-law, Becky Harding; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
