Jesse Lee Grubs Sr., 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018.
He was born on March 24, 1928 in Fisherville, KY to the late Burton and Sallie Grubs. Jesse proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Vina Elizabeth "Bessie" Grubs, sons, Jesse Grubs, Jr., James R. Grubs, and Kenneth H. Grubs.
Jesse is survived by his daughters, Sherry E. (Roger) Mills, Cathy (Abe) Mills, Brenda M. (Rick) Estes, Janice (Kevin) Watts, Thelma (Tommy) Rath and Wilma Grubs; eleven grandsons; four granddaughters; seventeen great-grandsons; eight great-granddaughters; two great-great grandsons; one great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in Jesse's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
