Jerry Wayne Madison, Sr., 62, of Louisville passed away on January 18, 2015. Jerry was a self-employed custodian. He loved to listen to music and visit thrift stores. Jerry was practical joker and was famous for the "knee-slapper." Kathy was the light of his life, his best friend, and true love. She brought the smile to his face.
He was born in Bowling Green, KY on December 12, 1952, the son of Oscar Madison and Bertha (Gardner) Smallwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Lewis Smallwood and nephew Bryan Madison.
Survivors include Jerry's wife of 25 years, Kathy Madison; step-mother, Margie Madison; son, Jerry Wayne Madison, Jr. (Kayla) and Scott Heath; daughters, Amy Johnson (Mike), Jennifer Rodgers (Josh), and Patricia Anderson (Tony); brother, Michael "Mickey" Howard Madison; sisters, Norma Jones (Jack), Geraldine Madison, and Cindy Reeves Griffey (Montie); grandsons, Ethan and Maeson Madison, Isaiah Reck, Austin and Elijah Nannie; granddaughters, Makayla "Baby Girl" Spurgeon, Kaleigh and Emily Madison, and Skylar Fisher; nieces, Carla Madison, Jackie Wilson, Jessica Madison; nephew, Billy Madison; and a host of extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kathy Madison to assist with funeral expenses.
Visitation will be from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) with service immediately following at 6:30 pm.
