Jerry "Tank" Walker Jr.

Jerry "Tank" Walker Jr., 56, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Sts Mary & Elizabeth. A 1988 graduate of Western High School. Tank was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Tank was a huge U of K and Dallas Cowboys fan; he loved watching his teams play. When he was not watching sports, he was watching Star Wars, Avengers, Batman and Superman. He loved his family dearly and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He will fondly be remembered for his soft heart and his fun "geeky" personality. 

Tank was preceded in death by his father, Jerry T. Walker Sr., wife, Kitty Walker, step daughter, Courtney Hobgood, grandparents, Stella Rowland and Bessie Elliott. Here to carry on his memory are his loving mother, Emily Walker, sister, Barbara (Rick) Tucker, Jeffrey (Katie) Walker, bonus sisters, Becky (Marty) Sanders and Cheryl McFarland, nephews, Terry (Shelby) Tucker, Michael Tucker, Chris (Morgan) Tucker, niece, Marley Walker, five great nephews, four great nieces, his step daughter, Nicole King, three step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. 

A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 28th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a celebration of life beginning at 4:00 PM, both taking place at Newcomer Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that expressions of sympathy be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
