Jerry Wayne Osman, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on December 24, 2017 peacefully at home.
Jerry was born on August 1, 1946 in Anna, Illinois to Wayne and Opal (Waters) Osman. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Osman.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jasmin (Burdin) Osman; daughters Jamie Osman (Kevin Toole), Tia (Osman) Brown (Thad), mother Opal (Waters) Osman, brother Terry Osman (Sharon), three grandchildren; Caitlin (Brown) Hodnefield (Luke), Cassidy Brown and Josiah Brown. Jerry is also survived by his nephews Eric Osman (Janice), Shane Osman (Jennifer), two great nieces Addison and Avery Osman and two great nephews Bryce and Gavin Osman.
Over the years Jerry held several different jobs, including a patrolman for the Carbondale Police Department where he met his future wife Jasmin whom he married on December 28, 1974 in Makanda, Illinois.
He eventually found his calling in sales and was employed for over 30 years, retiring in January, 2009. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and playing electronic games.
Jerry was one of the kindest people you could have met and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was very devoted to his family.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
His funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday December 30, 2017 at the funeral home with private burial to follow.
