Jerry Donald Murphy

Jerry Donald Murphy, age 75 of Louisville, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. He was born on July 20, 1943 to the late William Albert and Tina Mae Johnson Murphy. He graduated from Durrett High School. Jerry retired after 30 years of service with Navistar (the old International Harvester). He coached Little League Baseball and Football at Lyndon Recreation. Jerry was an avid UK Fan and loved Churchill Downs, hunting and fishing. He was also preceded in death by his son Bill Murphy; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anita Perdue Murphy; daughter, Patricia Coke (Tony); grandchildren, Taylor Murphy, Kasey, Julia and Henry Coke; sister, Sara Jane Murphy; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3 pm to 5 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with a celebration of Jerry's life at 5pm.
