Jerry A. McElroy, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019.

He was born on March 14, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Moses and Mary (Kennedy) McElroy. Jerry honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a carpenter at heart, and loved to restore furniture. He also enjoyed drawing, traveling, and staying busy. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Lyle King, Lillian Cason, Jean Allen & Angela McElroy. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Y. Porter, brother, Joseph S. (Patricia) McElroy, 2 grandsons, Martel Porter & Khyrese Porter, 3 great grandchildren, Martel Porter, Jr, Malia Porter, Reagen Porter, 8 nieces, 2 nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 am on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
