Jerry W. (Pete) Henley, 76 of Louisville slipped away peacefully from this life to his heavenly home on Friday, August 6. Pete was born in Anniston, Alabama on December 9, 1944 to the late William Dewey Henley and Fannie Tillison Henley. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his brother, William Hoyt Henley.
Pete is survived by two sisters, Hazel Gregg of Oxford, AL and Edna Battles of Rome, GA; former wife, Cynthia Kay Henley; nieces, nephews and cousins who will cherish his memory. Pete formed many close friendships while living and building a successful business, Henley's Jewelry and Replacement Service, in Louisville. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Honoring Pete's request, no service will be held.
