Jerry Hamblen

Jerry Hamblen, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. 

He was born on June 15, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert Fleming and Corrine Hamblen. He is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Larry Hamblen and Corneliun "Corky" Hamblen and three sisters, Rhonda Miller, Luevenia White and Rose Marie Logan. 

Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Central High School, he was a member of Bates Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, decision counselor and sang with the MOB (Men of Bates). He was employed by UPS for 15 years and the Yum Center for 7 years. 

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Audrey Louise Hamblen, four sisters, Norma Harris, Betty Pendleton, Florence Turner (Eddie), Linda Britt (Rodney); one brother, Dennis Hamblen, his step-son George Michael Howard Jr. (Tia), three step-grandchildren, Kayshawn Bland, Montez Davis II, GeVaughn Howard and a host of nephews and nieces. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Bates Memorial Baptist Church (620 Lampton St, Louisville, KY 40203).
