Jerry Wayne Atwell, 77, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Louisville, Kentucky after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jerry was born February 15, 1943 to Frank and Alice Atwell of Louisville, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Valley High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He was married to Norma Hale of Louisville, Kentucky and they had 2 children. Jerry enjoyed spending his weekends on his houseboat at Rough River Lake, watching old movies, spending time with his family, and was a lifelong fan of NASCAR and the NHRA. Jerry was a loving father, husband, brother and son who is best remembered for being a kind, caring and gentle man.
Survivors include his 2 children, Jerry Todd Atwell (Pennie) of Boynton Beach, Florida and Angela Keith of Delray Beach, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Adam Keith of Boynton Beach, Florida and Cole Atwell of Lantana, Florida; 2 brothers, Darrell Atwell (Beverly) of Louisville, Kentucky and Robert Atwell (Pamela) of Lexington, Kentucky, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife.
