Jerry Logan Anderson, 71, of Louisville, KY passed away on February 1, 2018. He was a Navy combat Vietnam Veteran who received 2 Purple Hearts and also a recipient of both Bronze and Silver Stars. Jerry was an avid sportsman with a passion for animals. Jerry also enjoyed sharing his talent for music with his family and friends. He was a strong man of faith who loved his family and his brothers at arms dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Anderson; brother, Michael Anderson and his brother-in-law, Ted Marbach.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Debra Anderson; children, Todd (Diane) Anderson, Leanne (Phillip) Wooldridge, Joseph (Regina) Hall and Talitha Hall; grandchildren, Corey, Rebecca, Chelsea, Christopher, Amelia, Alasia, A'Lania and Audrey; sister, Brenda Marbach; brother, Jeff Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews and his fur babies, George and Henry.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Jerry's life will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 beginning at 9:30am at the chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central, 2501 Dixie Hwy, Fort Knox, KY 40121.
