Jerome Eugene Watson, 60, passed away on February 9, 2015. He graduated from Indian River High School in Chesapeake, VA. After Jerome graduated he moved to Louisville in 1972 and was an employee of Byerly Ford for 32 years until his illness forced him to retire. He was an avid bowler, loved to watch sci-fi movies and tinker with computers.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Cherry, Sr.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Yerva Renee Patterson Watson; son, Damon Eugene Watson; daughters, Aisha Ariel Watson and Lena Janae Watson; step-daughters, Shannen Patterson and Sheridan Patterson; granddaughter, Jordyn Watson; mother, Pauline Cherry; brothers, Kenneth Cherry, Nathaniel Cherry and George Cherry, Jr.; sister, Althea McMillian; dear friend, Clara Randle and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Cable Baptist Church, 314 South Wenzel Street, Louisville, KY from 10am-12pm with a celebration of Jerome's life beginning at 12pm.
