Jeremy Kirk Shaw

Jeremy Kirk Shaw, born on October 16, 1974, departed this life on May 31, 2025. He was a man of dedication, hard work, and a strong faith in Christ, who was universally loved by his family and friends. Jeremy was a proud member of the Recovery Group at Eastside Christian Church, where he devoted his time to aid others in finding the freedom he discovered in his own sobriety journey, having maintained a sober lifestyle since August of 2023.

Jeremy is remembered for his unwavering love and commitment to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Helen Shaw; his cherished children, son, David J. Shaw and daughter, Victoria M. Shaw; his dear sisters, Laviece Ruiz and Billie Shaw; and sister-in-law, Victoria Kroeker. He also shared joyful moments with his niece, Eliana Kroeker, along with numerous other nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Jeremy's hobbies included a passion for playing video games, which brought him joy and connection with others in his life. His presence resonated a warmth that will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. Shaw and Mabel M. Beverly, and his brother, David Shaw.

Jeremy Kirk Shaw's legacy is one of resilience, love, and a commitment to helping others along their journeys.

Memorial contributions in Jeremy's memory can be made to the Recovery Group in care of Eastside Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home. Jeremy will be laid to rest privately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
