Jeremy "Red" Lee Baker

Jeremy "Red" Lee Baker, age 43, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 14th, 2026.

Born on June 20th, 1982, Jeremy threw everything he had into his interests from soccer to skateboarding, art and music. He was most at peace being outdoors in nature, at the beach, or on the lake. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, disc golf, kayak, and was an avid lover of seafood, grilling, live music, and bourbon. He also enjoyed other activities such as bowling, playing the guitar, and riding the motorcycles he built himself. He created beauty with his bare hands working as a carpenter and welder, while also dabbling in drawing, tattooing, jewelry-making, leather smithing, auto mechanics, and woodworking. There wasn't a trade he couldn't do.

Jeremy was fiercely loyal to his family. Fearless and determined, (and stubborn), he wouldn't hesitate to put himself in harm's way to protect and care for the people he loved. Behind his tough exterior was a huge, self-less, sentimental heart. No one loved harder than him. And some of his favorite times were spent surrounded by family, cousins, and friends, swapping wild stories and reminiscing over nostalgia. He was honest and uncensored, and "Daddy" to his fur-baby Wrigley.

He is preceded in death by his Uncle Mark Walters, his Papaw Benny Baker, and his grandparents Geneva and Marion Gilkey. He is survived by his parents Lynn and Michael Baker, his brother Trevor Baker, his sister Brianna Riggs (Rachel), his grandparents Grandma Tina and Pappaw Gene Walters, his Mamaw Bonnie Baker, his niece and nephew, Zoey Cameron and Andrew Riggs, his loving companion Kyla Harsin, and many adored Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, and extended family.

Services will be held at Newcomer East Louisville Chapel on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026. Visitation will begin at 3:00 P.M. with service to follow at 6:00 P.M.. Family requests that attire is casual as Jeremy would have wanted. 

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
