Je'Ovonia D. Smith

Je'Ovonia D. "Jeno" Smith, 36, of Louisville, KY gained his wings on April 13, 2019. The most precious thing in his life was his daughter, Skylar. Jeno was a fun loving, outgoing, caring father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to cook, play chess and had swag. #TEAMLIGHTSKIN.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George Yates, Willie L. Moore and Sidney L. Shanks, Sr and grandmothers, Julia Moore and Ruby Winters Jenkins.

Je'Ovonia is survived by his daughter, Skylar; mother, Rhonda Smith; father, Keith Shanks; step-father, Michael Smith; siblings, Arrione Smith, Tiaka Smith, Alyssa Smith, Christopher Smith, Cara Vibbert, Oliver Swan, Tyrone Price, II, Marion Caldwell, Joy Leavell and Stacy Hobson; grandmother, Jane Shanks; god-parents, Kathy (Tashani ) Watson and Pat Harrison and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1057 S. 28th Street, Louisville, KY from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Je'Ovonia's life beginning at 1pm.

Burial will follow at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
