Jennie Lee Devers

Jennie Lee Devers, 89, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021. Jennie was full of sass and loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed bingo, listening to bluegrass music, and gambling. She was a die hard UK basketball fan and never missed a game. Jennie was full of life and will truly be missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on November 30, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joseph and Beulah (Arnold) Blevens. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. Blevens and Beulah Blevens; husband, Robert "Bob" Devers; son, Michael "Mike" Devers; siblings, Ray Blevens, Eula Maraman, Patsy Harriett, Henry Blevens, and Martha Blevens.

Jennie is survived by her loving family, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Tommy Metcalf; grandchildren, Jessica (Kenneth) Pierce, Mendi (Mike) Gaffigan, and Brent (Katie) Metcalf; great-grandchildren, Haley Pierce, Dylan Pierce, Ava Gaffigan, Axel Gaffigan, and Delilah Metcalf; great-great-grandchild, Violet Elsler; Niece, Cathy Mabra. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish her loving memory.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
