Jeff Allen Shannon, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was born on February 20, 1964, in Louisville, Kentucky. He departed this world on May 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and hard work.
Throughout his life, Jeff dedicated himself to the craft of plumbing, bringing his expertise and unwavering work ethic to Griffin Plumbing & Piping for an impressive thirteen years. His career was marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence and a straightforward approach that endeared him to both colleagues and clients alike.
In the warmth of his home, Jeff shared countless cherished moments with his beloved wife, Cindy Shannon, of 41 remarkable years. Their mornings together, filled with affectionate exchanges over coffee, stand testament to the love that bound them. It was not uncommon for Jeff to express his heartfelt devotion spontaneously, reminding those around him of the simple yet profound beauty of love.
A man of humor and kindness, Jeff exhibited a personality that was vibrant and engaging. He was known for his playful jokes and for exemplifying caring in all his relationships. His dedication to family was profound; his loved ones were truly his world. This devotion is reflected in the bonds he nurtured with his children: Jenn Rawlings and her husband Jeremy, Kevin Allen Shannon and his wife Michelle, and Michelle Coomer and her husband Ben. As a grandfather, his heart swelled with pride for his grandchildren—Nathan, Karmin, Abbi, Maddi, Nova, Jaxsin, Chris, Christopher, Jasmine, Liam, Alex, Hailey, Aiden, and Jordan—along with his great-grandchildren, Josiah, Violet, and Makenzie Reign, who were the glittering stars in his life.
In addition to his immediate family, Jeff is survived by his siblings: Gary, Mark, Sandra, and Glenn, as well as his mother, Carol Shannon. He also shared a special bond with his mother-in-law, Vi Greenwell, who warmly welcomed him into their family.
Though Jeff's journey in this life has concluded, his memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of those he touched. He joins the presence of his father, Gary Shannon, his brother Mike Shannon, his father-in-law Frank Greenwell, and his aunt Barbara Reidling in eternal rest. Their spirits, along with his, will inspire and guide us until we meet again.
