Jeanne Marie Embs, 81, of Pendleton, Kentucky passed away on August 8, 2017.

Jeanne was born on November 25, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward and Cathrine Rothgerber. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Katsy Friedricks and brother, Buddy Rothgerber.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Everett "Buck" Embs; children, Steve Farmer (Donna), Michael Farmer (Barbara), Wanda Metts (Martin), Kaye Sapp (Daryl Lanxon), Eugene Embs, Rick Embs, Mark Embs, Wayne Embs (Kay); brother, David Rothgerber (Lois); and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service to honor the life of Jeanne will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Smithfield Cemetery in Smithfield, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sulphur Baptist Church (83 Eddy Road, Sulphur, KY 40070)
