Jean Ray, 79, of Louisville, passed away on September 25, 2015. She was a member of River of Life Church.

Jean was born in Boston, KY on February 14, 1936 to the late Roland and Hallie (Bingham) Maupin. She married Bernard Ray in Louisville in 1953, he preceded her in death in 2013. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Steven Ray.

Survivors include her children, Rodger Ray (Jacilyn) and Luke Ray (Mary Beth); brother, Wayne Maupin (Linda); 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, September 28, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral ceremony will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
