Jean Kotheimer

April 18, 1920 — October 30, 2017

Jean Roberts Kotheimer, 97, of Louisville, KY passed away on October 30, 2017.

Jean was born in Ameron, KY to the late Sarah and Hiram Roberts. She was a 1938 graduate of Middlesboro High School and 1940 graduate of St. Joseph Infirmary School of Nursing. She retired after a 44-year career in nursing.
A devout Roman Catholic, she was a founding member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and later attended St. Aloysius in Pewee Valley.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph H. Kotheimer Jr., her first husband, Harry Wyatt Brown, son Michael Wyatt Kotheimer, daughter Mary Anne Chapman, 7 brothers & one sister.

She is survived by her daughters Jean Panther (Rick), Patricia Humphrey (Roger), son Joseph H. Kotheimer III (Tracy); 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks are offered to the staff at The Forum at Brookside, who so lovingly cared for her.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2017 with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
