In loving memory of Jean Eleanor Reese., 1927-2016.
Jean Eleanor (Blais) Reese went to Heaven solely because of her faith in Christ Sunday, October 2, 2016. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut May 30, 1927. While working there in a photography studio, she met her future husband, John Daniel Reese, who was stationed in the area, during World War II. After marriage, She moved with John, to near his hometown of Waynesburg Pennsylvania, from 1947-1968, due to her husband's job transfer they were relocated to Lebanon, Ohio from 1968-1992, and finally moved to Louisville in 1992-present, after John's retirement, primarily to be close to family. In her youth, she was a talented portrait artist and worked in retail and photography, however, the remainder of her life, was devoted to the wonderful aspects of homemaking, which was only superseded, by her deep Christian faith, and dedicated to numerous church responsibilities. She especially ministered to pastors families, but also encouraged others with heart felt cards, letters, and phone calls. She DEARLY LOVED her family and friends. Each place she made her home, had a special significance, but Louisville was the ultimate. She was a 22 yr. plus member of Westport Road Baptist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband John Daniel Reese, of almost 67 years.
Jean is survived by her loving children, Sharon Payne (John) and Brian Reese (Jill); grandchildren, Gretchen Benningfield (Patrick), Brian Chad Reese (Kelli) and Christa Giorgis (Adriano); 9 great-grandchildren Patrick Jr., Benjamin, Renee', Chloe, Adriano, Giovanni, Giosue, Gianna and Arianna.
