Jean Edna Hardin, 68, took Jesus' hand and entered into eternal life on February 12, 2015. Jeanie was preceded in death by her devoted father, C. Sterling Goff and loving grandmother, MumMum. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, Patrick Hardin Sr.; her son, Patrick Hardin Jr., (Melanie Hardin); her mother, Jean Murtagh Goff; two sisters, Margaret E. Craft and Melody L. Davenport; grandchildren, Dillon, Chris and Kim; nephews and niece, Joey and Andy Craft, Chuck and Kathryn Davenport; and many friends.
Jeanie was a faithful and loving person. We will all miss her smile, her kindness, her stories and her special way of teasing. She cared deeply and loved unwaveringly. Her favorite spot on earth was spending hours fishing on a dock at Herrington Lake. She loved the NY Yankees. No fan pulled harder for a team and she's no doubt still rooting on her KY Wildcats to win the NCAA Championship.
Through her life, Jeanie was drawn to the unusual. She liked odd bugs, owned a snake, and raised white mice. She owned powerful dogs (Rottweilers) and finicky cats. Cody (dog) and Brian (cat) will miss her.
She spent many years worshiping at Shawnee Presbyterian Church. She worked 47 years at the US Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, where she met her best friend Betty. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1964.
