Mattingly, Jason W. 37, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015.
He was born on December 12, 1977 in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Jason was a aspiring poet and song writer. In February of 2014, he was voted poet of month in the United Kingdom. He had heart of gold and will be truly missed by his loving family, and friends.

Jason is survived by his father, Morris Mattingly; mother, Karen Mattingly; children, Jason Jr., Justin, Victoria, and Shannon all of Louisville, KY; grandfather, Robert Bailey, of Mechanicsburg, PA; siblings, Laura Mattingly DiPrimo of Jeffersonville, IN, Carlton Reid Mattingly of Pekin, IN, Morrissa Mattingly Edmunson, Travis Mattingly, and Cody Mattingly all of Louisville, KY; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Joey, Daniel and Tommy Lee all of Jeffersonville, IN, Emma and Lucy Mattingly, of Pekin, IN, Jacob and Jordon Reinhart, Chandler and Morraya Edmunson all of New Albany, IN.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service to honor the life of Jason will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
