With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Harris, 50, of Louisville, Kentucky, who left us peacefully on June 1, 2025.
Jason was not just a father, papaw, brother, and friend—he was a beacon of joy and an embodiment of love. His passion for the outdoors was matched only by his enthusiasm for life, where he found happiness in nature, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, camping, and cruising on his beloved Harley Davidson, often enjoying a Budweiser along the way. Above all, Jason cherished the moments spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will forever warm the hearts of those he left behind.
A man of great character, Jason was unapologetically himself—LOUD, fun, and full of life, he had a generous spirit and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a dedicated and skilled individual who ran his own construction business, aptly named 'Under Construction,' leaving a legacy of hard work and commitment to excellence. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Born on July 7, 1974, in Hawaiian Gardens, California, to Rich and Janet (Webb) Harris. Jason is preceded in death by his parents, beloved brother-in-law, Unki, and lifelong friend, Otis.
Jason's spirit lives on through his loving daughters, Mersades Harris, Natasha Hall-Harris, Sirenity Harris, and Carlee Harris; his son, Ryan Drake; and his adored grandchildren: Brian Ramirez, Jr., Hakeem Morrow, Ki'Tai Kadrolli, Elliott Mooney, Maverick Drake, Kora Tillman, Oliveia Mitchell, Paisley Mitchell, Katara Kadrolli, Alizabella Drake, Harmony Harris, and Remi Morrow. He is also survived by his fiancée, Tonya Mullins, and his brothers, Tanker (Lucy) Pruitt and Tim (Liz) Pruitt; his sisters, Lahna Jill Pruitt, Terri Pruitt, and Traci Pruitt; his best friend, Mojo; and countless extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy), followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm that same evening.
