Jason Wayne Cozine, 45, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
He was born on November 21, 1975 in Louisville, Kentucky to Wayne and Vicki (Singer) Cozine. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin and Milla Singer, John G. Cozine, Betty Wimberg and uncle, John R. Cozine.
Jason graduated from Ballard High School in 1994 and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Park and Recreation Administration in 2004 from Eastern Kentucky University. He loved his son Jackson, his dog Annie and his Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds and NASCAR Racing. Jason was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and hiking, he also was an avid softball player and enjoyed going to concerts and sporting events.
Jason is survived by his father, Wayne Lee Cozine, mother, Vicki Cozine, son Jackson Scott Cozine, sister Amanda Jarboe and brother-in-law, Michael Jarboe, two nephews; William F. Jarboe and Evan M. "Scoochie" Jarboe, uncles; Tim Singer, Chuck Moran, Leo Reid, Mike Crowe, Richard Emigh, aunts; Mary Singer, Suzi Moran, Sally Reid, Jeanne Crowe, Vonny Emigh, Vicki Lovett. He is also survived by a host of cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
The family requests that contributions in Jason's memory be made to the family in the names of Wayne & Vicki Cozine and/or Amanda & Michael Jarboe to help establish a trust fund for Jason's son Jackson.
