Jason Keith Burns, age 50, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. He was deeply devoted to his family, cherishing the time spent with them above all else. Jason was a man of strong faith and took great pride in his journey to sobriety dedicating much of his time to supporting others in the community on their recovery paths. His joy for life extended to outdoor activities, particularly fishing, where he found happiness in the simple act of catching anything that would bite. Jason’s larger-than-life personality made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on August 29, 1975, in Louisville, Kentucky, Jason was the son of James and Betty (Ball) Burns. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Bell Morris; his grandmother, Myrtle Ball; and his grandson, Benson Fournier.
Jason leaves behind a loving family, including his fiancée, April Gross; his son, Michael Keith Burns; his daughter, Kaydence Nikole Lea Burns; his step-son, Zack Woosley; his granddaughter, Briar Fournier; his father, James Anthony Burns; and his siblings, Brandi Burns and Scott Burns. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
A visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on the same day at the chapel.
