Jarod Michael Thompson

Jarod Michael Thompson, 25, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. He was born on January 2, 1997 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Prather, Bobby Joe Thompson Sr. and Richard Kemp; brother, DeAndrae Murphy and uncle, Drew Sears.

Jarod is survived by his loving mother, Kelli (Bryan) Temple; father, Bobby (Sheron) Thompson, Jr.; fiancé and high school sweetheart, Sierra Zelch; siblings, Josh Bossie, Jordan Thompson, Brayli Temple, Antoneea Perkins, Deontez Wimberly, Darius Wimberly, Delonta Wimberly and Thomas Kent Price II; grandmothers, Armintie Kemp and Doris Prather; nephews, Jaxon & Carson Zelch; and niece, Aubrey Zelch; and his faithful canine companion, Aces.

Jarod was employed at Industry Products Company as an Inventory Lead for the past 5 years. He loved to go to concerts with his brother Jordan and best friends Joseph and Jake. He was always the funniest guy in the room and brought joy and laughter to everyone he met.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
